Representing Britain

Wrekin College gymnast Georgina Hockenhull has started her international career by representing Great Britain at the European Junior Gymnastic Championship in Brussels.

Georgina was selected for the British Junior Squad last September as a result of her good performance at the British Championship in 2011. Despite her inexperience, she was chosen to perform first on the floor and beam exercises in Brussels.

The British girls worked really hard to take fourth place behind Russia, Romania and Italy. This equals the best-ever result for the British Juniors at the European Championships.
